Foley Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir 2012
Any visit to Santa Rita Hills must include a stop at Foley Estates. The property was founded by Bill Foley in the late 1990’s and today is one of the most important in the appellation. The winery’s success can be attributed to strict wine-making protocols and two extraordinary estate vineyards.This 2012 is dark and rich with fresh boysenberry and raspberry jam on the nose. The palate features tart red plum with hints of black peppercorn, hibiscus tea, straw and candied raspberries. This is a great expression of a Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir. The finish is luscious and leaves one craving more.
